This is Picacho Peak RV resort, our home for the next month. It is warm, beautiful, friendly and we really like it here. Granted we have only been here for 2 days but do feel that it is the place for us. Not much in the area but we drove 10 miles up the road and found a nice little town called Eloy and they have an IGA market, a hardware store, NAPA auto and a few other things. Today we are going big time, we are going North 23 miles to Casa Grande and they have everything Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart and tons of other stores, restaurants, and entertainment.
Linda is out walking, there is a open group of walkers but they start at 7am and she didn't want to rush to get up and ready for 7. She is on vacation and wanted to sleep in. haha she must have caught up to them ,as she left here at 7:07.
Our friends from BC are coming in on Wednesday, so we want to find out more about the area so we can show them the sites. They probably know more about this area than we do, as they have been in the general area many times.

We did make it to Casa Grande and it did have everything. we looked for a few quilt shops but some have closed down, moved or were just not open on Monday. we did get to Joanne's fabric and it's bigger than the one at home. Linda convinced one of the park ladies to have a class on making a hand bag, so she got all the needed items and has already washed the fabric and has it drying.  I got some items from Lowes and Walmart to make the satellite hookup better and easier, and will try and get that done tomorrow. I just HAVE to have a project. haha  I got some rope lites and dusk to dawn timer and have them wrapped up the tree next to the RV so we can find our way home, when we are out after dark. Linda isn't impressed with her New England redneck. Heck, I got blue lites instead of red or white like some folks have here. Hope blue isn't of any special significance that I am unaware of.  We had lunch at a BBQ place that I thought was pretty good, but not the best that I have had. We stopped at Dairy Queen, just down the road from the park for a ice cream for supper. We do have to remember to take our cooler when we go shopping as ice cream and such will melt on the ride home. Not like at home when it gets harder this time of year.   It hasn't been hot today but the sun has been out and in the low 60's, which we will take any day.
All for now!
