Linda didn't mention in her last blog that the campground we stayed in in Paducah was right beside the Paduach National Speedway. thank goodness that it was off season or we would have been listening to loud race cars all the time. They also just put in a 1/8 mile drag strip right next to the rv park. That would have been even louder. The owners were nice and the park was easy to use.
We traveled from Paduach,KY to Lebanon, TN on Wednesday before the snow got to KY. at least it was predicted and by the weather reports they got some last nite. Lebanon is about 12 miles East of Nashville. We didn't even go into Nashville as it was real cold and miserable. We found a great place to eat(Demos) in Lebanon for lunch and then did laundry. We went east about 20 miles and saw Killian and his mom and Grandmother. For those few that don't know Killian, He is a friends nephew, who spent alot of time with us last summer while he was up staying with his Uncle Glenn and Aunt Jamie. We had a ball visiting. I took Killian out for supper while the ladies stayed home and ate. Killian and I had fun talking and fooling around. We are both looking forward to seeing him this summer. He has a girlfriend now but I still think he'll come north for a visit.
Today we drove from Lebanon,TN to Asheville, NC. It was snowing when we left and the had predicted that Saturday would be even colder and snowier. I was quite worried about all the hills and snow but it was very lite snow and just off and on. The hills weren't that bad and the truck ran very good. we stopped and had lunch and got fuel and made it to this campground by 3:30 EST. we changed back from CST somewhere along the route. This place is Riverfront RV park and they should add, "and HighwayBack". we are right next to the Swannanoa river and HWY 40 and 26 is right behind the camper. Linda is concerned someone might throw a bottle out of the car and it will hit us. Only one night so it shouldn't be to bad. Cheap and has free internet and cable tv so I'll take it.
