Tuesday, January 21

This has been a long day.  Only because we got up and got going much earlier that we would normally get up.  Rise and shine was at 6:00 and we were on the road by 7:00, trying to get ahead of the storm.   Well, that was successful as we never saw a flake of snow, and the sun shown all day.  The temp, while travelling, was in the seventies, but that was in the sun.  Its cooler than that now, and here in the park in Columbia, SC., we were told that the water to the campers was going to be shut off, as a freeze was expected.  It is 42 now, but the wind is blowing and the camper is doing a little bit of rocking.
Oh yes, we did have a delay, as we spent approximately four hours at the Camping World in Columbia, but we now have a hot water heater, so no more 'military' showers!  It was nice sitting outside while the repair was being done.
Then, this evening, we had dinner with Erin and then a tour of the campus at USC.  Guess I have just never been on a campus where there were 30,000 students.  It was great to see Erin, hear what she has been up to since classes started, and the new friends she has made.  We are proud of our two college granddaughters.  Erin here in SC and Alicia at Rivier in Nashua, NH.  Can't believe that the two of them will be 20 this year!
Tomorrow we are off to Atlanta, and then further west, but the route is unknown.  Anyone with suggestions of where we should head, please let us know.
Talk to you later.....
